I just created my first windows smart card and it appear that when the
certificate was issued on the behalf of the user it changed or altered the
    users password?

The original domain username and password combination don't seem to work and
the "Require Smartcard for login" is not checked on the users account. I
just want to make sure that I understand the sequence of events so that we
    plan our deployment appropriately.

This all leads to the question of things like OWA. If I were to "Require
Smartcard for Login" I am assuming things like OWA will not longer work or
other web apps that authenticate against the domain? We would like to
require the smart cards but are concerned that that approach may break too
many things, in which case how valuable are the smart cards.

    Thanks,

PS Documentation on Smartcard deployment seems to be thing especially for
impact on all of the interrelated issues if anyone can point me in the
direction of a good white paper or book that provides some comprehensive
coverage of these issues it would be appreciated.
