Drive restrictions but still searchable

Also posted in Windows.Group_Policy:
We have our systems setup so that the C drive is
restricted and hidden from the users. They cannot access
it and get an error similar to "resource has been
disallowed".
However, if they go into Search and type C: in the Look
In textbox, they can see the contents of the C drive as
well as open the files and folders.
Does anyone know how to prevent this or why it's
happening? We need the Search functionality, so
disabling it is not an option.
