Because I'm paranoid and I don't like the idea of outsiders probing my
Exchange box directly no matter how secure I like to think it is. Much
rather have that layer of abstraction between them. Any box I show to
the world isn't going to have anything valuable on it. All the jewels
are somewhere behind that box. Sometimes behind more than one box...
I realize that's not always practical in some situations, SBS users being
one, but with the price of little firewall appliances and such dropping
it seems like it would be increasingly reasonable to at least put a little
something in front of that server.
