Windows 2003 COM+ CreateObject Failed

I am trying to setup a new web environment with Windows 2003.

I have 2 servers, IIS01 and COM01.

I have my COM+ applications setup identical to the way they've been setup on
our Windows 2000 servers for the past 2 years. Everything works fine when
testing the components, but as soon as I try accessing an ASP that calls the
components, I get a CreateObject Failed error that states Access is Denied.

I have created Proxy Setups from COM01 and installed them on IIS01.

I have read all the responses on the Internet that talk about bogus simple
answers from KB articles, such as enabling COM+, MSDTC, etc. What I have
found is if I create a user account on COM01 that matches the anonymous
account on IIS01, my pages work fine! The account would look something like
IUSR_IIS01.

Now, since I have figured out that the standard answer is not correct for
this problem, can anyone explain to me why this fixes the problem, or better
yet, where is the security I would need to change to get around adding user
accounts on all of our middle tier servers once we get to production?

Thanks,

Dan
