You should create the connection using RRAS console, as a demand-dial
connection with permanent status. THen it will persist even if you log off
the server.

  Hi
I want to create a permanent VPN connection between my (Windows 2003) web
server and a remote database server, which is behind a SecurePoint
firewall
(providing the VPN). I have created a standard VPN connection without
problem, and I can ping IP addresses on my local network from the server.
  However, I have two problems:
  1) My ODBC DSN will not use the VPN connection to connect with the
database
server. When I put in the internal IP (192.168...) and click test
  connection, it fails.
  2) I do not know how to make the VPN connection permanent. I want to use
the
VPN to increase the security of my website's ODBC connection - so it's not
much use if the VPN closes when I log off!
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
