I have a friend who is going to hire me to setup a small business
network for them. They all the basics: redundant drives, security so
the kids cannot get to critical files and confidential files, control
over prints, etc. All this I plan to solve with one Windows 2003
Small Business Server setup as the PDC with the machine having
hardware RAID mirroring two SATA drives.

The other thing that the parents want is tight control over the access
the kids have to the internet and block bad sites. Along with locking
things down pretty tightly, they want to be able to see what sites the
kids are surfing. I have this type of solution here at my house, but
I implement it with UNIX and a proxy that is able to block banned
sites. My friends are about as far from being computer gurus as one
    can get.

I use Squid-Cache is my proxy server and squidGuard is what I use to
control a banned list. I am looking for a firewall/proxy server
solution to run on the 2003 server that is less the $1000 which will
be easy for my friends to view logs of where their kids are surfing.
    Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Sam
