"Extended error information" field in certificates

Hi!
I have noticed an "extended error information" field in certificates opened
thourgh a certificate authority mmc on windows server 2003.
What is the purpose and use of this field?

I have not noticed this field when I look at certificates other places than
in the CA mmc.
