    Hi Ben,
    I suspect that the problem is related to a file, folder, or registry value
    that the applications are trying to modify without the proper security ACLS.

    Some questions and suggestions:
    ================================
    - Can you let me know what apps are having problems?
    - Are there any domain policies or security templates in effect?
    - I would recommend running Sysinternal's Filemon and Regmon to capture an
    output and see if you are getting any "access denied" .

    These tools monitor and log all registry and file access...

         For information about FileMon, refer to the following Web site:
         http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/filemon.shtml

        For information about RegMon, refer to the following Web site:
        http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/regmon.shtml

    Usage:
    1) Start Filemon or Regmon
    2) Go about reproducing the error
    3) Click File then Save as
    4) Choose the log file
    5) Send the log file to me via email
