Have you evr seen this: "WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can
cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall Windows. "? ;)
I believe there is a way to troubleshoot Windows in your case (at least by
using Recovery Console and making backup copies of the registry files)...
Some details about symptoms of the suicide (error messages, blue screenshot
etc) will allow to help more.
