File and Print Services perform quite a few tasks. This is one of them.
Nothing to fix.
Normally I use mutlihomed machines with NAT and as long as I have the
internal interface first in the binding order, and DNS to listen only to the
internal interface, and both configed for the internal DNS server, it seems
to be error free when I disable F & P, MS Client and NetBIOS.
So, you can give it another shot if you want and try it, but if it keeps
giving you probs, I would just put it back.
