Hi Meinolf,
That would be a help to block those devices. I asked once before on some
newsgroup but didn't get an answer to that solution. How is it possible to
block permissions for burning to CD/DVD and writing to USB drives, etc?
TIA,
Bill

Hello Bill" don't want more spam,
No, if they can use them for work, they also can copy them. Think about
blocking all ports, USB, CD/DVD etc. so that they can't export them to
external devices or burn them.
Best regards

Is it possible to restrict file access not only to certain users, but
also to certain programs? We have some data files that we want people
to be able to open with a CAD program, but we don't want them to be
able to use File Explorer to copy them to another location. Basically
we are trying to allow workers to do their work but prevent them from
removing the data files from the company. So any other ideas to do
this would be appreciated too.
