I encrypted my files and folders and saved them in a hard drive (regular

I use Windows XP Professional to encrypt the files. Any help to open
these
files will be greatly appreciated.
Do you a complete backup from before you performed the restore? Was the
computer in a workgroup or a member of a domain?
If you don't have a backup and if the computer was a member of a domain
then you have permanently lost access to those encrypted files.
Just pointing out it appears Paul typo'd to omit a "not" in
"and if the computer was" _not_ "a member of a domain"
as Paul absolutely did know one went there.
Thanks for the catch and correction Roger!
