Hello. I just finished installing W2K sp4 express and was successful.
After rebooting I try to run the Windows update again and it now hangs at
about 25%? Does anyone know why this is hanging or if I need to do anything
else?

Re: Windows XP hangs when closing down ... so you are trying to do windows update and it hangs sometime. ... it hangs when closing down with the message "Installing... but just goes into a repeating cycle showing these two ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain)
