Your post might have best been directed to

What does IE show when you attempt to browse?
By default server installs with highly reduced function IE
config, and gives you a popup when you attempt to use it
that includes link for info on how to revert IE to less safe,
workstation-like behaviors (via add/remove programs).
First however, you need to tell us what IS happening,
not just what is not working. What do you see?

I hope this can be answered in this newsgroup even though it's a
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Question. I have installed the OS on an HP
DL580 server. I went to the Windows Update site and installed SP2. Now,
I cannot open anything in IE at all?? I have network connectivity. I can
ping IP and names so DNS is working due to name resolution. I can even
ping www.microsoft.com on the ineternet and get a response but IE will not
display any pages. I have set the security level as Low, turned off the
Firewall and checked some other settings but I cannot get to the internet.
What security setting was changed to cause this and how do I shut it
off? I want to finish installing the Security Updates then I need to
install SQL.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks -
Jon
