Some beginners questions on the firewall
that comes with SBS 2003 server (the one that
won't install, unless you have two network cards).
1) Since it wants two nic's, I presume one goes to the
raw Internet and the other goes to the local net.
Do I presume correctly?
2) Will the firewall handle NAT for the other computers
behind it?
3) Will the firewall check for "Mangled" packets (bad
guys trying to force a buffer overflow)?
4) Is it "Stateful" (new, related, established)?
5) Is it of highest enough security that you would
put sensitive customer information behind it?
As in, would you put your credit card number on the
server and trust the firewall to keep the bad guys
out? If not, would you recommend something else?
