Is it just me or does it seem like "I have tried everything but the trigger lock still prevents me from shooting myself?" Most requests are for 'security' not Morpheous enabled suicide by Malware.[g]
Just funnin....These programs that don't connect also want to act AS servers not just clients. Do you have the server services enabled,[run 'services.msc'] and see if file and print sharing is bound to TCP/IP?
Service packs and updates close down vulnerabilities left open by default on original install versions.
In my 'limited' experience with any program that is able to 'upload' as well as download, you have to allow them AND enable them to act as servers....whereupon the gremlin surfaces!
Even if you only plan to use the 'client' aspect they provide.
just a thought...if one helps you get a trojan will they be charged with assisting malicide?
I used to use WINMX for p2p but since discovering THINSTALL deposited surreptitiously on my puter after install or download, I can't even trust my 'old trusties'.
