What operating system are you using and is the computer a member of an
Active Directory domain? Try running rsop.msc in the run box to see if it
shows that Group Policy settings are enabled for Windows Firewall. Rsop.msc
will not work on XP Home.

Ok, so i'm pretty well educated in computers, and building them. This is
a
simple problem I have never run across before. A few programs won't
connect
to the web, morpheus and AIM 6.0, and I believe it's because of windows
firewall. When I have attempted to disable windows firewall to test the
problem, the check box for disable is greyed out, and there is a bar at
the
top of the page that says "For your security, some settings are controlled
by
group policy" I can't figure out how to turn this thing off, someone help
me
please?
