If there is a firewall in front of the server you are trying to RDP into
make sure that port 3389 TCP is open to it unless you are going through a
VPN tunnel. Run the command netstat -an on the server to see if port 3389
TCP is listening which it should be if TS is enabled.

Hi IT Experts!!.
I am using windows 2000 server with terminal server administration
mode. wen i tried to connect to the server from remote location. i got
the error message something like this.
"client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connection
might not be enabled or computer is too busy to accept incoming
connections, it is possible that network connection preventing your
connection"
wen i tried to ping in to the server i found that nothing lost the
packets.
then i tried to telnet the port , its saying coudnot open the port.
Can you give me answer to enable remote desktop on win2k server. i
tried to connect it from win2k pro, and winxp. i have getting the same
error.
