Hello,

For some policies to take effect, you have to restart the machine and
log on again so that the machine and user should get new policies.

For XP/W2k3 you may use gpudate commandline tool to avoid this.
For W2k one uses secedit commandline tool instead.

Hello,

I am trying to set Complex passwords for a customer, but it will allow
the
user to use a 5 alpha p/w for her new password.

I have tried gpupdate /force. I have created a new policy with the
complex
password enabled and verified the policy is active by running gpresult on
the
PC.

I am a bit stumped at this point.
Anyone out there have any other suggestions?

Thanks for the help,
