Re: Unable to create Complex Passwords

If you do it correctly it works.
You did not say what you did.

If this is for a domain account then the policy must be
set in a domain-linked GPO so that it is the effective
setting (i.e. not set otherwise in later applied GPO
linked to domain). If this is for machine local account
it must be set in any GPO so that it is effective for the
computer object of the machine (ex. linked to OU that
contains the computer object)

Hello,

I am trying to set Complex passwords for a customer, but it will allow the
user to use a 5 alpha p/w for her new password.

I have tried gpupdate /force. I have created a new policy with the complex
password enabled and verified the policy is active by running gpresult on
the
PC.

I am a bit stumped at this point.
Anyone out there have any other suggestions?

Thanks for the help,
Allen K
