Put a keylogger on the computer

If he is using your name and password, if it did show up it would show that
you logged on.

If you change the password, the next time, someone tries to log on with the
old password it will be recorded in the security log.

but i need to know what the boss knows (if anything).

Change your password, go to lunch, see if there are failed logon attempts
(529),
if so, someone probably has been accessing your computer. Assume they know
everything that was on there.

wont tell me this. is there a log that tells you when your computer is
being
used?

Hi, I work in an office with 3 other people and I am currently
reviewing
my
employment options. In doing this, I have contacted recruitment firms
and
other firms using my laptop which has a password to get past security.
I
had
noticed a couple of mornings ago that my laptop had been tinkered with
one
night after i had left the office the night before. When i mentioned
that
things were different on my laptop to the others in the office, one of
them
mentioned that they had tried to get on to it but unsuccessfully. I
don't
believe this to be true. I think this person (my boss) has been able
to
access my laptop as my password is something they might be able to
guess.
When i went out for lunch yesterday, a similar thing happened and i
suspect
my system is being monitored. I have removed the offending info from
the
laptop but wish to confirm that my laptop has been used in my absence.
Is
it
possible to tell when your computer is being turned on/logged on to
your
personal log-on profile? I'm sure this is obvious but i don't seem to
be
able
to find out how and i'm unable to ask our IT people (obvious reasons).
My
operating system is Windows XP 2002 edition if needed
