I don't know the solution offhand but be sure to check the logs via Event
Viewer to see if anything helpful is found including failed logons and the
reason why. If this server is a domain member then there may be problems
with it contacting a domain controller consistently which can be due to
networking or name resolution problems which the support tool netdiag often

For several months now, we've been experiencing users unable to log in to
edit websites in FrontPage using their NT IDs. They work one day and
don't
work the next. It happens, randomly it seems, to different groups. All
users in the group are similarly afflicted. They enter their password and
FrontPage asks them again.
We've resolved this problem over the past couple months by creating a new
group, adding new IDs to that group and then providing that group access
to
the website using the FrontPage Server Admin.
Now, the "Administrator" group is experience this problem. Upon rebooting
the server, all services that rely on the "administrator" ID failed
because
of a "login error". I am still able to surf to all my webs. ASP
processing
and MSSQL work. We can't access webs using FrontPage.
Any thoughts on resolving this issue would be appreciated. Thx.
