This is a Windows 2000 security newsgroup. I suggest you post in one of the
virus newsgroups and or the security.homeusers newsgroup. Most likely an
upgrade/repair install of the operating system will fix the problem but

Hello, My PC was recently infected with a worm called w32.spybot.nlx this
worm disable the window security center for XP. My question is how do I
re
enable the Security Center I have located the worm and some other files
that
is associated with this worm and I deleted the registry value. I tried
fallowing Symantec ( norton ) instruction but it does not help when the
security center is disable I can't use the feature called CHANGE THE WAY
SECURITY CENTER ALERTS ME. Does anyone have any recomendation as to how to
go
about this problem.
