Please provide link to the referenced "Windows Security Enhancements"
that we might know what you are dealing with. Is this / are these some
third-party installable?

I have a Windows 2003 Server with Service Pack 1.
I have just installed Windows Security Enhancements, including the Device
Locking components.
Now I am unable to create Volume Shadow Copies.
As a result my Backups are failing.
The errors I get are VSS EventID 12310, 12298 and 12289.
If I try to create Volume Shadow copies via the "Shadow Copies" tab in
Windows Explorer I get the same errors.
Does anybody know what I should do to allow VSS to work ?
