I too am hosting a site w/ Word Docs ... one user has experienced this
problem and regardless of what he enters in the userid and password,
box, he merely gets a window saying contact the administrator. Only
one user has this problem and I am unable to duplicate on my PCs at my
location. Did you ever solve this problem?

Some versions of Windows causes the "Enter network Password" box to
pop up,
but on others (like my XP Pro SP2 box) it does not. If you cancel the
box,
the document opens. I've tried various security settings on the files
and
containing folders, but none have worked.
What can I do to prevent the "Enter netwrok Password" box to pop up
on some
pc's (eg. windows 2000, '98). Surely there must be some sort of
underlying
security option on the server?
I've found this question all over the net, but no answers to
accompany
them....
Any help would be appreciated! *
