Hi,

Can a bkup DC be demoted to member server?

Yes. Using DCPromo again.

Appreciate if anyone could advise.

A few moments reading the documentation - which incidentally you should do
before you actually start the demotion - would have told you this. We're
happy to help but you'll have far more success at whatever you are trying
to
do with Windows Server if you do some research yourself.

I'm always surprised at "professionals" who STILL have to be asked "Have
you
checked (event viewer / syslog)".
