Each WSUS maintains its own database, and there is no supported
way to have them use one database. The only sync that happens in
a WSUS hierarchy is of the config/definitions and updates. Client
status info is not replicated upstream (or down for that matter).
For your future reference there is a WSUS newsgroup
microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services

I'm in the process of upgrading from SUS to WSUS on a WAN.
Installation of WSUS was fine, but now when I assign a Computer to point
to
a Replica Server for it's updates, that computer isn't shown in the Main
WSUS
Server.
Does this not get synchronised from the replica Server to the Primary, or
is
there a setting I haven't used.
I can view reports of the Computers in the Replica Servers, but not in the
Main Server Admin display.
I'll be running 1 Main WSUS Server (2003 Enterprise) and 6 Replicas so it
would be better if I could do all the Admin & reports from the Main Server
.
