It is not a worry if the roommate does not have an administative
account, and it is not a worry is file and print is (unchecked) no
longer bound to the wireless interface. That the shares reappear
does not mean they are being shared (sounds stupid doesn't it)
but only that they would be made available if the network service
was bound to an interface.
Simplified sharing is an optional mode for XP Pro and the only
mode for XP Home. I believe it is discussed in the help system.
