Your right you would need some third party app , you could use XP or 2K to
acheive this, but heres a free solution
Your mail is stored as a DBX file on the C drive called inbox.dbx find this
file and rename it inbox.dbx1
When outlook starts it will create a new inbox.dbx file
When you want to recieve mail just delete inbox.dbx and rename the
inbox.dbx1 to inbox.dbx, a bit of a pain but unless your friend is adamantly
wanting to read your mail its efective.
If your using Outlook as apposed to Outlook Express, this stores your mail
in a PST file and a password cn be added
