How do I stop my computer from "Scanning for virus" every
time I open a document? It takes about 15 seconds of
extra time every time I open a document - time that is
unnecessary (wasted) - and I want to eliminate this level
of security.

The computer has "Norton AntiVirus" and "Internet
Security" installed.

I've tried all (seemingly) possible security settings in
MS Word and in the Norton programs, but the computer sitll
scans EVERY time I bring a document up.

HELP!!
