You don't have to enable any protocol, though I am not sure if it will work if
you have disabled netbios over tcp/ip in your domain which is unusual and would
totally disable network browsing in My Network Places and require users to
strictly search Active Directory for published shares/printers. You can also
configure the user rights for logon locally and deny logon locally to control
what computers a user/group can logon to, though in a large network it would not
be practical to use to control logon access for a lot of individual users. I
suggest you go ahead and try it to see if it works in your current network
situation [configuring the users account in AD with "log on to"]. --- Steve

of active directory user properties (which requires Net BIOS protocol, something
i do not want to implement) that would allow me to specify that I only want THIS
user to log on to one certain computer and no other?
