My comupter does memory dumps and then shuts down. I am
also getting pop ads that direct me to a site called
windowsupdate.info that is selling a fix to this problem.
http://windowspatch.info/patch.html is the link to the
site from the popup ad. I am using win2000 and the link
takes you to an order form at some site called
securesoft.org. I can tell that this is not a legitimate
site by microsoft and I suspect that any credit card info
will probably be abused. How do i fix this and stop my
computer from doing this memory dump and then rebooting?
Or who can i report this to in order to start legal action
against these people?
