Message Service popup

Hi,
I I constantly get several popup messages from "Message
Service" and warning me that my Windows 2000 volunbility
is high that I need to go to "www.MessageStop.net".
I went to there and it asked me to buy a software
called "Windows Software Patch - IPBlocker", which is
offered by SecureSoft.org

Should I go for it or does Windows offer some kind of
security software update?
I've just installed DSL to my computer and all these
happened.
