Hi Reader,
O/S used: Windows 2000 Professional as a Client to a
Windows 2000 server. My Logon Name is a member of the
Administrator Group.
It's very uncontrollable and irritating if some other
users accessing my computer resources without my
permission. I want to know is there any kind of settings,
to prompt adminstrator password or some other kind of
security policy if a user accesses my resources, whether
the user is in the same domain as I do, or from a
different domain (Note: I want to share some resources to
some particular users and not all).
Somebody even copied my "My Documents" folder and passed
it in his "C" Drive. The fact is that I didn't share
my "My Documents" folder for that Guy, and I don't know
how did he sneek inside my computer, which still remains a
big mystery. I'm very much aware that the person who has
copied "My Documents" folder could access my other
resources. I know that Network/System Administrators are
eligable to view every resources in every client's
computer, it's Ok, but i don't like other users seeing my
resources.
Pls. make the solution much more understandable, cos I'm
just a user not knowing much about windows 2000 security
aspects.
Awaiting anybody's response in anticipation.
Thanx in Advance,
Hifni
