There is no work around. If they have modify access then they can delete files. You
can however just give the creator/owner modify permissions which will allow users to
only delete files they create as shown by who is the owner if that helps. Keep in
mind that accidentally deleted files are often recoverable with third party utilities
if you act fast. Windows 2003 offers shadow copy restore of shared folders to help
resolve problem of deleted files. --- Steve
