In W2K, if you are not statically configuring tcp/ip then you can use a dhcp
server/scope to assign tcp/ip configuration including dns servers. If you use dhcp,
then that laptop can obtain the correct tcp/ip info while connected to the other
network assuming it uses dhcp. Otherwise you may need to reconfigure your tcp/ip
settings manually for each network or use a utility that can do it for you such as
netsh or a third party program. Windows XP Pro has the ability to configure
alternate tcp/ip configurations such as one static and one dhcp.--- Steve
