Remote Monitoring

Please can someone help me, I've recently joined a
company who's ex IT manager was ex MOD, and he's set a
very strict security policy on the network.
I'm not complaining but none of his settings have been
documented and I'm trying to set up performance monitors
on our servers (All Win2K) and I'm continually recieving
messages telling me I can't connect to the Server.
I'm a Domain Admin, so I know it's not that, but I am
aware that there are certain permission that can be
changed on specific files (and in the reg) to prevent
remote performance monitoring. Could anyone please help
and let me know what those files are? I've searched the
KB and not had much joy.
Any help would be greatly apprciated.
Many Thanks
Michelle
