Are they in the same domain? forest? different sites?
If they are in the same domain, it seems like you need to
straighten out your active directory management
practices...
Thanks for the reply.
The Master (Primary) server in question is our IIS web server, which has our Webmaster team as local Administrators. To implement security on some of the sites / shares, the Webmasters have taken it upon themselves to create a number of local users and groups. The local users are often accounts for clients who need access to a secured site. The local groups could contain either employees in our LDAP or the local users on the server itself.
Recently, we have been looking into setting up a second server as a fail-over server for our IIS sites. We seem to have figured out the issue of synching the content and metadata of IIS site. The problem that remains is the copying of the local users/groups from the Master to the secondary server and keeping these in synch.
Your suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
