We had a security report done recently that indicated that the cnf files were accessible by world users and said the files should be deleted if they are not needed. There are several cnf files in the c:/indetpub/wwwroot/_vti_pvt folder ('access.cnf', 'botinfs.cnf', 'bots.cnf' and 'linkinfo.cnf' to name a few). My question is what will happen if I actually delete these files? The server in question used to have the Frontpage Extensions installed, but has been removed. Am I going to break any web pages if I delete these files? Thanks.
