>From an NT4 machine, create a policy using the System Policy Editor (I found
that if I ran SPE on a 2K machine, it didn't work.) Then place the
resulting ntconfig.pol file in the ~\netlogon share of your 2000 DC, where
it'll replicate to any other DCs on your network and get read by your NT4
clients as they log in.
Certain elements of the 2000 Group Policy will also apply to NT clients if
it's a supported feature, such as password and account lockout policies.
