Admin password usefull ?

Hello,

I would like to know if it is usefull to state a password
to the main (and only) windows account (win 2k) ?

I use ZoneAlarm firewall and think it is maybe useless
to force to type a password each time I open my computer.

If necessary, can you explain a bit or point to explanations ?
