Hello, I have an account on a Windows 2000 domain (PDC is
Server1) but my home directory is on Server2 which is
neither PDC or BDC. If I logon to the domain I can add
permissions to my files/folders no problem. If I logon
locally to another Windows 2000 Professional workstation
which is not a member of the domain, I can access my domain
home by accessing \\Server2\sharename and supply username
as Domain\User1 with the correct password. I can see
permissions I previously added for other domain users like
Domain\User2, Domain\User3, etc. But when I click on Add to
add a new permission for Domain\User4, a dialog box shows
up and ask: "You are logged on with an account that does
not have access to: Server2". I supply username:
Domain\User1 password: mypassword and a window "Select
Users or Groups" shows up with users/groups to select. The
"Look in:" is Server2 and grayed which means I can't change
it to Server1. If I enter username manually like
Domain\User4 it says no such user or something like that.
Any ideas? Thanks very much in advance. Cheers.
