Use the registry editor to navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows 2000
Locate the Q or KB 819696 sub-key in the SP4 or SP5 subkey
and delete it.
Restart your computer and install 819696 from Windows Update.
Your virus concern is likely some virus on someone elses computer
spamming your name.
