about windows 2000

My problem is that i had used windows 2k in my computer
about 2months. but i had never turned off my computer.
once, i shut it =down and i tried to logon, an error
message comes up in the screen, and said," you could not
logon , ,,,make sure you use the correct name and
domaine,,,,ect"
next, i boot my comp from the cd rom, then i don't have
the same scren anymore and i don't have microsoft word and
other programs that i had in my comp..
what'up..with that..
