As others mentioned you can't unless you have physical security. If that is
not possible all the time [such as a laptop], you may want to look into
encrypting sensitive data files. W2K has a built in EFS file encryption.
Just be sure to read up on all the hazards of EFS including the possibility
of losing access to your own data if you do not backup your EFS
certificate/private key. If you follow best practices on W2K and
export/delete your EFS and the recovery agent's EFS private keys, then your
encrypted data is safe even if your password is cracked or reset. See link
