It's still not nice, but more comfortable than the mentioned
alternative. Open the Internet-Explorer with "run as" and login with the
desired context.
Change from Favourites- to Folders-View.
(View - Explorer-Bar - Favourites -> Folders [1].)
So you have a single Explorer with rights, different from the
login-context. Your "desktop" and any additional Instance of (Internet-)
Explorer remain in the logged-in (user) context.
This works for me on Windows 2000 SP4 / IE 6.0 SP1.
