Passwords and Multiple Users

Hello,

I own a computer that is frequently used by others and I do not want anyone to have access to my email accounts (OE and Hotmail). I have not enabled any of my accounts to automatically logon or remember my password. I already created my own "identity" in OE, along with a password unique to this identity. Everytime I attempt to open OE, the "Identity Login" box appears prompting me to select my identity and then enter my password. I can then access my identity's OE email account. Here's where I'm stuck!

I unintentionally clicked on OE when I didn't plan to check my account. Again, I received the "Identity Login" box, HOWEVER, this time I did something different....I clicked the "x" in the top right corner to close the "Identity Login" screen and simply move on. BUT, instead of closing this window, it opened my OE account any way!!! I have tried this over and over again thinking it was a fluke, but it happens every time! It happens when I select "Cancel" as well. I have not had any other windows open at the time, nor have I been signed into any email/messanger accounts. I cannot figure out what is going on here. I mean, what's the point of allowing multiple identities and passwords if OE automatically opens itself???

I know it sounds very strange, but this truly is occurring! I have visited so many help/support sites trying to find a solution or even just an explanation but I seem to be the only person complaining about this bizarre issue. Please, please, please let me know if anyone out there can help! I'm ready to just remove OE from my computer so that my email cannot be viewed.

***By the way, I have a Net.Passport through MSN. I'm beginning to wonder if Net.Passport could be involved. All of my messages in my OE inbox are the messages I receive at my Hotmail account. Ugh. Someone will make my day with an answer. :)

THANK YOU!!!
