    It's either secure or it ain't. If the password could simply be "reset"
    then obviously there would be no security. So where's that little black
    book in a locked safe with your passwords (since your memory is fallible)?

    You could try a Google search on Windows password cracker utilities. I
    remember reading on one that actually boots using a different OS (Linux,
    maybe) and tries to hack the Windows password. You could pay big bucks to
    WinInternals to get their Locksmith (now part of their other products) to
    hack the password. You could wipe your disk and do a fresh install of the
    OS again.
