I am working on a backup & restoration plan for Windows 2000 machines,
and my limited testing of ntbackup indicates that the security
information for directories and files is not preserved by ntbackup. I
would like to capture *all* information on backup (name, contents,
date/time stamps, size, DOS attributes, security info, summary info,
audit settings, share settings, etc.) and have the ability to
selectively filter it on restoration. Does somebody know how to
accomplish this goal with ntbackup (or any other tool)?
