Tara,

1) Harden your browser. Check browser security with these websites:
http://www.jasons-toolbox.com/BrowserSecurity/
http://bcheck.scanit.be/bcheck/sid-ad0e768c4233c34d4b834a408ecc9ddb/index.php
https://testzone.secunia.com/browser_checker/

2) Install a popup blocker for Internet Explorer. There are dozens
available from various download websites. Two of my favorite websites
for downloading are:
http://www.download.com/?legacy=cnet
http://www.tucows.com/

3) Consider using another browser. Both Netscape/Mozilla and Opera
have popup blocking built in, and both have much less security issues
overall than IE.

4) Check for spyware. Get Spybot S&D and HijackThis (both free),
with help from SWI Forums. Start here for instructions:

Chuck
